Letter V tracing worksheet

The capital V is two slanted lines. Two straight diagonals meeting in a sharp point on the baseline.

Each row alternates V and v so a child practises both forms of the same letter in one sitting — which is how it is taught, because the two shapes are learned as one letter rather than two. Say the letter SOUND as they trace rather than its name: that is what turns tracing into reading.

Words to say together while tracing: van, vet, violin. Hearing the sound at the start of real words is what connects the shape on the page to the letter it represents.
