About number tracing worksheets 1–20

The teens are where number writing gets genuinely confusing: we SAY the ones digit first ("four-teen") but WRITE the tens digit first (14). Tracing 11–20 in order, saying each number aloud, is the standard way children internalise that the written order wins.

Watch for 12 and 20 being swapped, and for teen numbers written back-to-front (41 for 14) — both are normal at this stage and fade with exactly this kind of ordered practice.

If 11–20 is still wobbly on its own, step back to the 1–10 sheet until those are automatic; the teens build directly on them.
