About letter e tracing worksheet

The capital E is a line and three bars. Down first, then three bars top to bottom. E is the most common letter in English.

Each row alternates E and e so a child practises both forms of the same letter in one sitting — which is how it is taught, because the two shapes are learned as one letter rather than two. Say the letter SOUND as they trace rather than its name: that is what turns tracing into reading.

Words to say together while tracing: egg, elephant, envelope. Hearing the sound at the start of real words is what connects the shape on the page to the letter it represents.
