Letter H tracing worksheet

The capital H is two lines and a bridge. Two tall lines, then the bridge across the middle. No curves at all.

Each row alternates H and h so a child practises both forms of the same letter in one sitting — which is how it is taught, because the two shapes are learned as one letter rather than two. Say the letter SOUND as they trace rather than its name: that is what turns tracing into reading.

Words to say together while tracing: hat, house, horse. Hearing the sound at the start of real words is what connects the shape on the page to the letter it represents.
