Dolch pre-primer sight words worksheets

The pre-primer list is the foundation of the Dolch sequence: a, and, away, big, blue, can, come, down and the rest. These are words a beginning reader cannot sound out reliably, so they are taught by sight until recognition is instant.

Each generated sheet gives one word repeated for tracing and independent writing, so a child builds the motor memory and the visual shape at the same time. Print one word a day, or a whole set for the week.
