Missing numbers hundreds chart

Pulling numbers out of a mostly-filled grid is a different task from filling in an empty one. The child isn't recalling the count sequence from a blank page — they're reading position: the number above a gap, the one beside it, the row it falls in — and using that to work out what's missing. That's closer to how a hundreds chart actually gets used once it's familiar, as a reference for finding where a number sits rather than something recited start to finish.

Use it after the blank chart, not before it — with about 28 of the 100 numbers gone and the rest intact, a child who'd stall on an empty grid usually has enough anchors here to keep going, and you can see exactly which rows or columns still trip them up.
