Blank hundreds chart

Filling in an empty chart is a different task from reading a completed one. Writing the numbers in order forces a child to notice that each row ends in a zero, that moving down adds ten, and that the ones digit repeats in every column — the structure of place value, discovered rather than told.

Use it as a weekly check: how far can they get unaided, and where does the sequence break down?
