Daily "what should I post?" panic is not a creativity problem — it is a systems problem. With three pillars and a repeating weekly pattern, a month of content becomes one planning afternoon plus short batching sessions.

Step 1 — Choose three content pillars
Pillars are the three recurring themes your account is about — for a template shop they might be tips (teach something), product (show something), and proof or story (build trust). Three is enough for variety and few enough to stay recognisable.
Step 2 — Build a repeating weekly pattern
Assign pillars to weekdays once, and the calendar fills itself: for example Monday tip, Wednesday product feature, Friday behind-the-scenes, Sunday recap. A pattern removes the daily decision — you are filling slots, not inventing a strategy every morning.
Step 3 — The one-afternoon monthly plan
Once a month, sit down with the empty grid:
- Drop in dates that matter (launches, seasonal moments, promos)
- Fill each slot with a one-line idea — titles only, no drafting
- Mark which posts can be repurposed from your best old content
- Flag the four posts that deserve extra effort this month
Step 4 — Batch creation, separately
Planning and making are different mental modes — never mix them. Write captions in one sitting, design graphics in another. Batching five posts takes barely longer than wrestling one from scratch, because the context-switching is gone.
Recycle without guilt
Your audience does not see every post, and platforms reward repetition of what worked. Re-angle your best performer monthly: same idea, new hook, new format. A content calendar with a "repurpose" column turns one good idea into four posts.

Frequently asked questions
How far ahead should I plan content?
One month of slots with one-line ideas, one week of finished posts. Planning further ahead than a month usually gets overwritten by reality.
What if something topical comes up?
Swap, don't stack. The calendar is a default, not a cage — replace the planned slot with the topical post and push the idea to next month.
Do I need a tool or just a template?
A simple grid — printed or spreadsheet — covers planning for most small brands. Tools help with auto-publishing, but the thinking layer is the calendar itself.
